From a tea vendor in the railway stations and bus stops in Kishanganj, Bihar, to a successful businessman, Rajeev Baid has established himself as an iconic and far-sighted industrialist in the tea business. With his bold and courageous decisions, he has brought many developments to the industry. He is the proprietor of various bought leaf tea factories in Bengal and Bihar. The state-of the-art factory of Evergreen Dooars tea has been prized by the bigwig personalities of various sectors, it was also designated by the final jury of CII Innovative awards for its technology and automation.With comprehensive knowledge and industry expertise, his contribution to the domestic and international tea market has been significant and instrumental in furthering the intensification of tea consumption. In recent times he has participated in a public-private venture with the Bihar Government.
Mr Baid is now the proud proprietor of Okayti Tea Estate, an estate that produces the finest of teas. Okayti has been producing teas that are celebrated globally and Mr Baid envisions taking Okayti to greater heights in near future.
